Jawn Murray and I have been pals for about thirteen years and within those years, he and I have shared countless jokes and secrets. He has been and still is one of most trusted confidents and loyal friends. A journalist, TV host, and pop culture expert, Jawn is sharp and witty. He has access to the people and events you care about, and he is not shy about giving his opinion. In this episode of The G3 Podcast, Jawn shows all these qualities, as well as his impeccable memory, which he utilizes to remind me of some of the drama and funny situations I have found myself in over the years. Oh. Em. God.
This is not to say that I have forgotten a lot of my past adventures, but have probably chosen to block a lot of them out. And that's not to say that they were bad experiences, but I've had a lot of experiences and I tend to remember things and people based on relevance to my life and who I have become.
Not everyone or everything had a significant part in that!
What I like about this episode is that Jawn shares stories I have never divulged to the public, which tends to think they know everything about me or that I have divulged everything about everyone I know. I always found it funny when people called my first book, Confessions of a Video Vixen, a tell all because –– honestly –– who has time to tell all? Do you have any idea how much life happens to a beautiful woman in Hollywood?
Well, a lot!
We touch on Nate Parker's rape accusal controversy, and toss around stories about Chris Brown, Robert De Niro, Chris Rock, and more. You'll hear a lot of name dropping in this episode but it's all done in good fun and no celebrities were hurt during the taping of the show. I promise.
So, go ahead.
