Try This Bedtime Moisturizing Routine

Every night, before bed, it is good practice to moisturize your body from the inside out, insuring that you will awake refreshed and glowing –– granted you live your life according to The Gorgeous Girl's Guide! When your body is asleep, this is the time it restores, healing itself from alot of damage done throughout your day. This is why so many beauty treatments are geared toward nighttime usage. But you don't need expensive, complicated products to achieve glowing, healthy skin. In fact, most products are designed to create more of a problem and not fix problems, because the more problems your skin has, the more you think you need their product, and the cycle goes on and on. Try this, instead.

Step 1: Water

Within 2 hours before bedtime, be sure to drink at least 8 ounces of electrolyte and/or alkaline water. As recommended here on The G3, you should be drinking 2-3 liters of water every 24 hours, anyway.

Step 2: Coconut Oil

Just before bed, moisturize your face, neck, and décolletage with 5-7 drops of organic coconut oil. To make application easier, pour melted coconut oil into a dropper bottle and melt again with warm water when it's time to use.

Step 3: Hand & Foot Balm

Next, moisturize your hands and feet with a thick, organic balm. Wear socks, and gloves if you have them, to lock in moisture while you sleep.

Step 4: Lip Balm

Don't forget your lips! Just before bed, slather your lips with a thick, therapeutic lip balm. Be sure to scrub your lips with a warm washcloth at the end of each day, before this nighttime application.

Step 5: Love Your Labia

That's not all! This tip is especially helpful for those of you who have fully waxed labia. Every night, before bed, moisturize the area with organic coconut oil. Never forget, this is part of your skin, and it needs and appreciates moisture, too!

Bonus Tip:

We've just started reading up on the advantages of placing a few drops of coconut oil in the belly button, including as a way to boost fertility. Other oils, when mixed with a carrier oil like coconut, also carry amazing properties and results when applied to the belly button. We are doing a bit more research and will let you know what we find!
