Don't You Move:
I haven't smiled since 2009.
Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration.
It was 2011.
But in all seriousness, I don't move my face much. I have developed a way of expressing myself with as little facial movements and spasms as possible for fear of laugh and worry lines. Yes, I know it's all a part of life and aging and all that crap, but I'm not here for any of it at the gorgeous age of 37.
Many doctors and specialists will recommend you do facial exercises to help strengthen facial muscles and I certainly understand the concept, but I am not interesting in all that movement. My recommendation––resting bitch face.
Emote But Be Aware:
This is not to say you're not supposed to enjoy your life and all those precious moments that deserve a hearty laugh or a shit-eating grin. What this means is that you should be aware of your mood and save your facial expressions for the moments that matter, not for the fake laughter you give to comfort a coworker or the ex-boyfriend that leaves you disgusted when he drops by to say he can't live without you. Keep a straight face, gorgeous. Hardly anyone is worth the lines.
