Balsamic Salmon


  • salmon fillet

  • sea salt

  • black pepper, freshly ground

  • garlic powder

  • onion powder

  • olive oil

  • butter

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 3/4 cup sugar

Instructions (Balsamic Glaze):

  1. Heat balsamic vinegar over high heat in small saucepan
  2. Bring to a boil, then set to low heat
  3. Add sugar and stir
  4. Bring mixture to a boil, then remove heat and let cool

Instructions (Fish):

  1.  Set oven to broil
  2.  Place salmon ingreased baking pan, skin side down
  3.  Season salmon to taste
  4. Sprinkle with olive oil, then rub oil into fish
  5. Top with pats of butter, depending on the size of the fillet
  6. Broil fish for about 15 minutes, depending on size and thickness of fillet
  7. Remove and let sit
  8. Drizzle with glaze before serving
