A Completely Gratuitous Post About Fried Chicken


  • party wings
  • 1-2 eggs
  • all purpose flour
  • seasoned salt
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • black pepper, freshly ground
  • olive oil
  • vegetable oil


  1. Heat a large quart pan filled with at least 6-10 inches of vegetable oil on high heat for deep frying
  2. Wash chicken
  3. Place party wings in gallon zip-lock bag
  4. Season halfway to taste with season salt, garlic and onion powders, and pepper
  5. Drizzle with olive oil
  6. Seal the zip-lock bag and massage chicken and seasoning
  7. When seasoning is evenly distributed, continue seasoning to taste, massaging seasoning through the bag
  8. In a large bowl, beat one or two eggs
  9. Pour beaten eggs into zip-lock, massage
  10. In a plastic shopping bag, dump a decent amount of flour and lightly season it with the same seasonings used on the chicken
  11. Remove wings by the handful and place in plastic bag filled with flour
  12. Tumble chicken pieces back and forth in the flour by manipulating the bag
  13. When pieces are completely coated in flour, let sit a few minuted before placing them, one by one, into the hot oil
  14. Let chicken fry until golden brown, removing with a slatted spoon
