Using Slimline, Non-Slip Hangers

I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but then again, who cares. I am less than a year away from 40 years old, and I have never owned hangers that weren't white and tubular. Sure, I have always known that other kinds of hangers exist, but it just never dawned on me to have a different kind of hanger than the kind my mother used all my life –– until today.

If you're keeping up, we are in the beginning of our Q4 Clean Up, which lasts from October 1st until New Year's Day. This past weekend, as a way to completely change things around, I moved! Upon doing so, I didn't take everything from my old place into my new place. I giveaway, sold, and threw out lots of stuff, including my white tubular hangers.

Now, although I know there are beautiful and relatively expensive wooden hangers available to me, I'm just not ready for that level of commitment. So, I opted for the happy medium of slimline, non-slip hangers.

I purchased the hangers, in boxes of 50, at Bed Bath & Beyond for about $26 after using their infamous 20% off coupons, including tax. They are available in white, black, and stone. I opted for stone because not every garment will look great on a black hanger and white will only look dirty after a while. That's my OCD way of choosing a hanger color. Feel free to use your own system.

TIP:

Did you know that you can use your Bed Bath & Beyond coupons well after they have expired? Also, you can use up to 5 coupons at one time, on 5 items. Also, if you're going to get your hangers online, check out Retail Me Not for promo codes.
