My Latest Project and Decor Inspiration

My Latest Project and Decor Inspiration

Afternoon Gorgeous Girls!  I thought I would talk about my latest project and share some decor inspiration for you.  I'm working on a virtual project featuring a beautiful home in Georgia.  The home is beautiful, but not the decor, it needs work, and that's where I come in.

For the "Duarte Residence" project, we're going for a clean look to accentuate the architecture in the home.  The home was built in the early 1900s, and has beautiful architecture with high ceilings, those tall double doors, tray detail on the walls, and elegant trimming.  Duarte Residence has the typical oak hardwood, but they wanted something different so I decided to go with concrete flooring.  Usually, I would go with hardwood for a project similar, but I decided to do something more eye catching since our walls will recede, and I wanted to accent the flooring.  Another area that we will focus on is the ceiling.  The ceiling will be a rich gold, or a beautiful posh metallic silver...the battle is still going strong!  The pops of color will come in from the coffee table books, artwork, and a pastel sofa that we're going with.

Inspiration for You

When it comes to designing your home, you want to highlight those unique areas of your home, or areas that you want to highlight.  I love a black wall, especially when it's Caviar from Sherwin Williams or Ultra Pure White from Behr.  With design, possibilities are endless and can be quite overwhelming when pulling inspiration from so many avenues.  Whether you work with a professional or do it yourself, create a plan and stick to it.  Stay true to your style, lifestyle, budget, and your personal interest.  Design is very personal, and it involves seeing the bigger picture.

When I design, I design for you, not the designer or what's on trend.  Always remember, design is personal.

Richie Madison Interiors

Welcome to my world!  I'm Tiara.  Serial Entrepreneur, Interior Decorator, Home Decor Editor for The Gorgeous Girls Guide, and founder of Richie Madison Interiors, a virtual interior decorating studio specializing in residential design.

The original goal for Richie Madison Interiors was to offer an affordable luxury in new age interior design that's convenient, and simple.  I believe good design can be attainable to everyone at any budget.  My goal remains the same but now has more depth.  A well designed home affects your mood, it changes the way you interact with people, the way we think, it exudes confidence, and your personal style.  I want to create an experience for you, a timeless one.

One of the most intimate things in your life is your home, and I thank you for allowing me to have a part in that.

I look forward to sharing some of my design and decor tips, and really working with each of you to create the perfect space, virtually.
