Review: Whipped Hair Oil: Hot Oil Treatment

Review: Whipped Hair Oil: Hot Oil Treatment

A couple weeks ago, I got a crazy care package from the good folks at Whipped Body Goods.  Currently, I am devouring the Bikini Butter and waiting for results. I'll let you know how that goes in a couple weeks.

In the meantime, I am making use of the Hair Oil and Butter. I don't use oils in my hair after washing for they only weigh hair down and, let's be honest, no one like oily hair. The fact of the matter is that added oils are just not necessary for daily hydration. My hair is free of chemicals, it is its natural texture with a bit of heat training, and I use vegan, botanical shampoos and conditioners from ABBA, which leave my hair clean, hydrated and conditioned. I may use a drop or two of ABBA's Pure Shine Drops.

Anyway, I figured the best way to use the Whipped Oil and Butter would be for hot oil treatments.

Naturally, they work great!

Just before I wash my hair, I separate my hair in 6 sections, slathered my tresses with oil,  wrap the sections into tiny buns and secure with ponytail holders. Then, I sit under my conditioning heater for about 20 minutes. If you don't have a heater, place a conditioning cap on your head and wrap with a towel. For extra warmth, place the towel in the dryer before wrapping around your head. Afterward, I wash, condition, and style as usual.

I have tons of this stuff to give away, in the near future, and more reviews to come.

Stay tuned!
