Mature Your Girlish Style

Here's the truth...

No man wants to walk into a boudoir unless said man is into other men and boudoirs. I know you're a girl and, if you're reading this blog, chances are, you're a single girl. Now, if you'd like to remain single, please, by all means, carry on wallpapering your entire apartment in chartreuse. If you'd like to create a home that is welcoming to the man with whom you'd like to spend a good portion of the rest of your life, keep reading.

There is no need to butch-up your place in hopes of making your potential life partner more comfortable, but dumbing down the Barbie's Beach House decor is imperative. Instead, opt for a neutral palette and add your favorite colors with accents that can be changed with the seasons or with your whimsy.

Still, be sure to leave the ultra feminine accessories out of your "I don't want to be single forever" decor. You want to give him as many reasons to stay and no reason to be uncomfortable.

It's always endearing when a grown up woman still has a few girlish qualities about her. It shows that she doesn't take herself too seriously. But, too much fluffy, pink ambition is a turn off. He has to feel at-home, he has to want to stay, he has to take you seriously as a woman.
