Review: Honest Beauty: Elevated Hydration Facial Mist
In my most recent order from The Honest Company, I got a really awesome Mother's Day gift. I'd been wanting to try a few things from Honest Beauty but to be honest, I've been hesitant to spend the money for something I wasn't sure I'd like.
But, this one little sample might be just the thing to change all that!
I have only been using Honest Beauty's Elevated Hydration mist but I love it already. It smells fresh and natural and goes on light. I light to spray it on several times throughout the day when I need a little pick-me-up and I really like the way it makes my skin feel. It also leaves my skin looking dewy, even after it has dried.
I really like the majority of the ingredients in this mist, but I do have reservations about some of the ingredients listed toward the end. I wonder how much them are absolutely necessary and if so, why. Take a look:
Ingredients: Water (Aqua, Eau), Glycerin, Calendula Officinalis (Marigold) Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Fruit Extract, Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Lavandula Hybrida (Lavandin) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Sodium Lactate, Abies Sibirica (Fir Needle) Oil, Cymbopogon Martini (Palma Rosa) Oil, Pelargonium (Geranium) Graveolens Oil, Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil, Sodium Levulinate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sorbitol, Sodium Anisate, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Polyglyceryl-5 Oleate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sodium PCA, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Linalool, Geraniol, Citronellol
I will see how my skin continues to react to the hydrating mist and decide whether to purchase more in the future, as well as some of the other skincare and makeup available at Honest Beauty. In the meantime, however, I'm enjoying my new spray and think it's worth a shot.
