Review: Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil
Over a year ago, my little sister told me about Tarte's Pure Maracuja Oil. She sung its praises and went on and on about all it had done for her skin. And that was nice and all but I'm nine years older than my sister and my skin concerns are different.
She could rub dog poo on her face and it would probably work wonders!
The real test of a clean, natural, or organic product is it's effectiveness on mature skin. Sure, at the age of 35 I'm not "old" and I'm happy to still be carded when I buy alcohol and when people tell me I'm too young to have a son who's 16 years old, but all that aside, my skin is still 35 years old and, like most women, I am concerned with its health as I grow older.
A Word About Chemicals:
I can't advocate enough for inner health as the key to outer beauty or for the clean, natural, and organic products I use and have discovered. I can't say enough about how the chemicals in your drugstore and infomercial products only do more harm than good in the long run.

Your body is made to reject or fight against anything that is not natural to its biological make up. Human beings and all other animals and insects were designed to live off the earth with perfect balance and harmony. The original composition of the earth's atmosphere equaled the composition of the human body. We are made to work together! From the common cold to antiperspirants––when your body doesn't recognize what you're putting in or on it, it revolts!
Anyway, Back to the Maracuja...
I love it already. The moment you put it on, your skin appears brighter––not oilier––brighter. It absorbs quickly but not completely, yet there is no oily film. Your skin just feels nourished and ultra moisturized.
And As For My 35 Year Old Skin...
I have learned that hydration makes all the difference. So, I drink at least 2 liters of water a day (if not a gallon), drink light alcoholic beverages (beer and wine only) in moderation, and use topical moisturizers like this one as a daily and constant part of my beauty regimen.
I have raved about Juice Beauty's Nutrient Moisturizer in past blogs and videos and I will continue to use it. However, I am now using less of it and adding 2 drops of the Maracuja Oil into my AM/PM Routine. And, if my skin appears to dry out during the day, I apply another couple of drops.
