Ella + Mila Soy Nail Polish Remover
As I write this, it has been about a week since I started using Ella & Mila Soy Nail Polish Remover, and I can't believe I've never tried it before! There are lots of reasons to switch to a less toxic nail polish remover, especially when switching to a less toxic nail polish and nail care regimen. So, now that I am doing my honest best to grow my nails without the help of toxic tools, I am all about this remover in the teeny-tiny, pretty pink bottle.
Poke a Hole:
And that small, 4-ounce bottle will be the first difference you notice. Upon reading Amazon reviews, many women complained about the size of the bottle and how quickly they ran through the product, which costs about $11. So, when I got my bottle in the mail, I instinctually knew I should book just one small hole in the protective foil, versus removing it completely.
Tear Up the Cotton:
The next thing I knew for sure is that we usually waste most of our nail polish remover in the cotton balls we tend to use. Make-up remover pads are often a better choice, but I don't wear make-up! So, I tore cotton ball apart and only used about one-quarter of it.
Just a Little Bit:
I've only been wearing 2-3 coats of clear Butter London polish at this stage of my nail growth journey, and removing it with Ella & Mila has been super simple. I use just a few drops on a small piece of cotton, and rub the polish from my nails as usual.
Instantly, I noticed the difference in scent and texture when I first used this remover. There is a whiff of lavender and a noticeably oily texture. It's completely different. This remover works well, is ultra nourishing, and smells great. Granted, I don't know how it will do with darker polishes, or with more than 3 layers, but for my current intents and purposes, Ella & Mila is well worth the $11 –– especially when using it sparingly.
