10 Ways to Use Coconut Oil for Bath and Body

I am obsessed with oils. I use oil all over my body instead of lotion, only face as a daily moisturizer and cleanser, and I use it on my hair as a moisturizer, growth accelerator, and protectant. Coco nut oil is actually a greta oil for all these things, though I use a few different oils on a daily basis. For the sake of this post, however, I'd like to focus on the bath and body wonders of coconut oil, some you may not have heard of or tried.

1. Oil Pulling:

Coconut oil has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, making it a great oil for oil pulling. To remove impurities and freshen breath, gargle with and hold 2 ounces of coconut oil in your mouth for 20 minutes.

2. Lice Remedy:

First, since hair with apple vinegar cider and let dry. Next, coat hair and scalp with coconut oil and let site for12 to 24 hours. Afterward, come through hair with a fine toothed comb before shampooing.

3. Body Moisturizer:

As mentioned earlier, coconut oil makes a perfect body moisturizer. It is light weight and easily absorbed into the skin, with a pleasant, tropical scent.

4. Cuticle Oil:

Kiss cracked cuticles goodbye by rubbling coconut on them daily.

5. Lip Balm:

Solid at room temperature, coconut oil is perfect for use as a lip balm.

6. Stretch Mark Prevention:

Coconut oil won't fade existing marks, but it does that the potential to help prevent stretch mark.

7. Facial Moisturizer:

As mentioned above, coconut oil is an awesome facial moisturizer. Just as it can keep skin supple enough to help prevent stretch marks, it can do the same for lines and wrinkles. The more moisturized the skin, the less likely it is to crease.

8. Body Scrub:

Mix coconut oil with sugar, salt, walnut or coffee grounds to create a moisturizing exfoliator.

9. Teeth Whitening:

Dip your toothbrush in coconut oil, then, baking soda. Use daily to whiten your smile.

10. Deodorant:

Ran out of deodorant? Need a quick fix? Make a quick paste with coconut oil and baking soda and/or corn starch in a pinch.
